How Do Intersection Accidents Occur on Highways?
Intersections where highways meet local roads can create several points where vehicles cross paths. Drivers may be traveling at different speeds or approaching from multiple directions, which increases the risk of collisions.
Crashes often occur when one vehicle enters the intersection while another vehicle is already passing through. Visibility, traffic signals, and timing all influence how safely vehicles move through these areas.
Even when roads are dry and weather conditions are good, drivers must judge distance and speed carefully. A small mistake in timing can result in a crash when vehicles meet in the middle of an intersection.
Because highways typically carry faster traffic, crashes at these crossings can still lead to injuries even when only two vehicles are involved.
