Fullerton, CA (March 10, 2026) – Three people were taken to hospitals after a rollover crash Sunday evening, March 8, in a Fullerton neighborhood.
Emergency units responded just before 6:30 p.m. to the intersection of Valencia Drive and Courtney Avenue after reports of a serious two-vehicle collision. Authorities said a pickup truck was turning left from Courtney Avenue onto Valencia Drive when it was struck by a dark-colored sedan traveling along Valencia Drive.
The impact caused the pickup truck to roll onto its side in the roadway. Two people inside one of the vehicles became trapped and had to be removed by responders.
Medical crews treated three people involved in the crash at the scene. All three were transported to local hospitals, though officials did not immediately release details about the extent of their injuries.
Valencia Drive was closed in both directions for a period of time while crews managed the scene and assisted those involved.
We extend our thoughts to those injured and wish them a full recovery.
Rollover Crashes on Neighborhood Streets
Mixed-use streets like Valencia Drive and Courtney Avenue may involve varied speeds and traffic types. When injury accidents occur in Fullerton, responders often adjust traffic patterns to protect drivers and those involved.
Rollover crashes can happen when one vehicle strikes another with enough force to shift its balance or lift one side off the ground. The angle of impact and the size of the vehicles involved may increase the chance of a vehicle overturning.
When a vehicle rolls onto its side or roof, occupants may become trapped inside. Responders often work carefully to stabilize the vehicle before helping people exit safely, which can require additional time and resources at the scene.
