Augusta, GA (March 15, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday night along Peach Orchard Road in Augusta.
Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:00 p.m. to the 3600 block of Peach Orchard Road in Augusta, Georgia, following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
When emergency personnel arrived, they located a victim who had sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
According to Mark Bowen, the victim was identified as 44-year-old Ebonee Royster. Officials reported that Royster was struck by two vehicles during the incident.
Authorities pronounced Royster dead at approximately 10:47 p.m. An autopsy has been scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under review by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
