Buffalo Grove, IL (April 22, 2026) – A staff member was critically injured Tuesday afternoon, April 21, after a crash at Buffalo Grove High School near Dundee Road. The incident happened around 3:20 p.m. in a parking lot area as a driver attempted to exit onto the roadway.
According to initial information, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole, which then hit the staff member. Emergency units responded to the scene and transported the injured staff member to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities confirmed the driver was not a student. Dundee Road was closed for several hours while crews worked at the scene.
