Apple Valley, CA (January 15, 2026) – Authorities have identified the driver who was killed in the two-vehicle collision on January 12 at Waalew and Corwin Roads. The victim has been confirmed as 27-year-old Keith Morris of Apple Valley.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morris was driving a green 2016 Honda Civic westbound on Waalew Road when he attempted a left turn onto southbound Corwin Road. The Civic entered the path of a tan 2005 Chevy Silverado traveling north, resulting in a collision.
Emergency personnel responded quickly, providing care to the occupants. Morris and a passenger in his vehicle, a 15-year-old girl from Apple Valley, were transported to a nearby hospital. Morris later succumbed to his injuries, while the teen remains hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, a 23-year-old Apple Valley man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including vehicle movements and roadway conditions.
