Beaumont, CA (January 2, 2026) – Eight people were injured on Thursday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision on Lamb Canyon Rd near Dump Rd, not far from the Lamb Canyon Landfill, according to officials with the Riverside County Fire Department.
The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. in the 16400 block of Lamb Canyon Rd and involved multiple vehicles. Reports indicate that a secondary crash took place near the initial scene, compounding the number of injuries and requiring a significant emergency response.
Firefighters and medics arrived promptly and worked to extricate at least one individual who was trapped inside a vehicle. That person sustained life-threatening injuries. Another patient was treated for moderate trauma, while five others suffered minor injuries. All injured parties were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Fire crews remained on scene to assist with the investigation and traffic management. Lanes were temporarily closed as authorities assessed the scene and removed debris.
