Why Parking Lot Hit-and-Run Crashes Are Especially Concerning
Parking lots are shared spaces where pedestrians and vehicles are in proximity, often with limited visibility and frequent turning movements. Even at lower speeds, a vehicle striking a pedestrian can cause severe or fatal injuries.
When a driver leaves the scene, it can delay emergency care and complicate investigations. In hit-and-run cases, investigators rely heavily on witness accounts, surveillance footage, and vehicle descriptions to determine what happened and hold the responsible party accountable.
