Benton Co, MO (January 7, 2026) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries late Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on US-65 South near the MO-7 exit, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:53 p.m., when a southbound 2008 Mercury Mariner, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Warsaw, struck a 43-year-old male pedestrian, also from Warsaw. The man was seriously injured and transported to University Hospital for emergency treatment. His current condition has not been publicly released.
The Mercury Mariner sustained minor damage and was towed by the owner from the scene. The driver was reportedly wearing a safety device at the time of the collision and was not injured.
