What Factors Are Often Involved in Motorcycle and Bus Collisions?
Intersections like Jerome Avenue and West Mosholu Parkway South often involve multiple traffic movements, including turning vehicles and crossing lanes. These conditions can increase the risk of collisions when timing or direction is misjudged.
Motorcycles are more exposed than larger vehicles, which can lead to severe injuries during impacts. When a motorcycle strikes a larger vehicle such as a bus, the difference in size and protection can affect the outcome.
Traffic flow and road design can also influence these incidents. Areas with frequent bus stops and steady traffic may require extra attention from all drivers to reduce the risk of crashes.
