Charlotte, NC (January 8, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on State Highway 49 resulted in injuries and vehicle damage on the afternoon of January 7. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 2:16 p.m. following reports of a crash involving head trauma.
Crews arrived to find one individual suffering from a laceration to the head. Paramedics provided immediate treatment on-site before transporting the injured person to a local medical facility for further care. The second driver involved declined medical transport, and no additional injuries were reported at the scene.
The crash led to a temporary disruption along Hwy 49 as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police requested towing services for both damaged vehicles. Responders worked to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible.
