Sissonville, WV (January 8, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a crash with injuries Tuesday evening on Interstate 77 South near mile marker 102, just outside Sissonville, according to reports from Kanawha County emergency channels.
The incident occurred around 6:22 p.m. and involved at least one vehicle. Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed the scene and began treating individuals who sustained injuries in the crash. The exact number of injured parties and the severity of their injuries have not been publicly released at this time.
The crash caused traffic delays along the southbound lanes of I-77 as emergency crews worked to assist those involved and remove the vehicle(s) from the roadway. Drivers in the area were urged to use caution or seek alternate routes during the response.
