Chicago, IL (January 18, 2026) – Emergency crews responded early on Friday morning to a multi-vehicle crash involving injuries at the intersection of West Lake Street and North Laramie Avenue in Chicago’s West Side.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:07 a.m. on January 16. According to dispatch communications, the crash involved at least four vehicles, including a gray van and a Toyota van. Authorities indicated that the incident was a hit-and-run, with at least one driver fleeing the scene before police arrived.
First responders assessed the scene and began treating those injured in the crash. The exact number of victims and severity of injuries have not yet been disclosed, but the presence of multiple vehicles prompted backup units to respond to assist with crowd and traffic control.
