Wayzata, MN (July 2, 2026) – A child was injured on Tuesday evening after an e-bike and a vehicle collided at the intersection of Central Avenue and Highway 12 in Wayzata.
According to Wayzata police, the collision occurred just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. Officers were called to the intersection after receiving reports that a child riding an e-bike had been struck by a vehicle. Bystanders and emergency units provided aid before the child was taken to a hospital.
Police said the child’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
Investigators do not believe the driver was impaired, and the driver has been cooperating with the investigation.
