Christian, MO (January 9, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of MO-160 and MO-CC in Christian County resulted in one person being hospitalized on Thursday afternoon following a broadside impact.
According to officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 3:10 p.m. when a southbound 2020 Honda CR-V failed to yield at a red light and struck the side of an eastbound 2016 RAM 3500. The force of the collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles. The Honda was declared totaled and towed from the scene by Finley River Towing, while the RAM required removal by Kenny’s Wrecker.
A 73-year-old male passenger in the Honda, from Highlandville, MO, sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The driver of the RAM, a 58-year-old man from Brookline Station, MO, was wearing a seatbelt and did not report any injuries at the time of the incident.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene to provide care and manage traffic around the busy intersection, which experienced delays during the cleanup and investigation.
The crash is under investigation by MSGT. S. Isringhausen, who confirmed that failure to yield at a traffic signal was a contributing factor in the incident. Authorities have not indicated whether any citations have been issued.
