What Factors Can Lead to Pedestrian Crashes on City Streets?
Intersections and road segments like West 11th Street often involve steady vehicle flow and pedestrian crossings. When injury crashes occur in Coffeyville, responders typically work to secure the area and manage traffic safely.
Pedestrian collisions can happen when people cross outside marked areas or when drivers do not see someone entering the roadway. Visibility, speed, and timing all play a role in how these incidents occur.
Urban streets may also include multiple lanes, which can increase risk if one lane stops while another continues moving. These conditions can make it harder for both drivers and pedestrians to react in time.
