Council Bluffs, IA (January 26, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident early on Saturday morning near the intersection of South 6th Street and 16th Avenue in Council Bluffs.

The crash occurred around 7:07 a.m. and involved a Jeep and a Volkswagen, according to dispatch audio. Upon arrival, first responders assessed at least one individual who initially appeared to be injured. However, the person later declined transport or further medical treatment.

Police remained on scene to manage traffic and assist with documentation of the incident. Details about the cause of the crash and the extent of vehicle damage have not been released.

The incident is under investigation by local authorities.
