Indiantown, FL (June 23, 2026) – An 18-year-old bicyclist suffered potentially life-threatening injuries following a collision with a vehicle on Sunday evening at the intersection of Southwest Warfield Blvd and Southwest Monroe Ave in Indiantown.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash at approximately 6:15 p.m. on June 21. Investigators reported that the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at the intersection under circumstances that remain under review.
Authorities stated that the driver attempted to avoid the bicycle but was unable to prevent the collision. The 18-year-old rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for emergency treatment.
Following an investigation, sheriff’s officials determined that the bicyclist violated the motorist’s right of way, which they said contributed to the crash. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. Authorities continue to document the circumstances surrounding the collision.
