Dade City, FL (January 23, 2026) – A 45-year-old woman from Dade City was tragically killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle collision involving a teen driver at a rural intersection, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on January 21 at the intersection of Curley Rd and Saint Joe Rd. Troopers reported that a 16-year-old male, also from Dade City, was driving a Ford F-150 north on Curley Rd when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign.
As the pickup entered the intersection, it collided with an Audi Q5 that was traveling west on Saint Joe Rd. The violent impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway and crash into a nearby ditch. Troopers said the Ford F-150 caught fire while the Audi overturned, ejecting the woman from the vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived to find the woman suffering from fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenage driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not yet released information on any charges or citations as the investigation remains ongoing.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends mourning this heartbreaking loss.
