Clam Lake Township, MI (August 28, 2026) – A 36-year-old Inkster man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on M-115 in Wexford County. The collision occurred around 1:50 p.m. on August 26, near South 47 Road in Clam Lake Township.
Michigan State Police said the man was driving a box truck west on M-115 when it was struck by a Hyundai Santa Fe traveling north on South 47 Road. The Santa Fe was driven by a 19-year-old LeRoy woman. The impact caused the box truck to spin and overturn onto its side. A pickup truck traveling east on M-115 then struck the box truck’s cab.
The pickup was driven by a 58-year-old Troy man. The box truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Other people involved were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Troopers said alcohol and drugs are not believed to have contributed to the collision. Our sincere condolences go out to the victim’s family and loved ones.
