Decatur, AL (January 14, 2026) – A traffic collision involving injuries was reported Monday afternoon near Cagle Avenue Southwest in Decatur. The incident occurred around 4:06 p.m. and involved a green Nissan Rogue and a second vehicle that reportedly fled the scene.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash was reported and provided medical assistance to at least one injured individual. That person was treated at the scene and may have been transported to a nearby hospital for additional evaluation. The exact condition of the injured party has not yet been released.
Police are investigating the crash as a possible hit-and-run, as one vehicle involved left the area before officers arrived. Crews worked to secure the scene and gather information from witnesses.
