Rear-End Collisions at High Speeds Can Lead to Severe Outcomes
Rear-end crashes are common on highways, but higher speeds can make them far more dangerous. When one vehicle strikes another from behind at a fast pace, the force of impact can cause sudden movement or loss of control.
Passengers in the rear seat may face added risk, especially if they are not properly secured. Being thrown from a vehicle can result in serious or fatal injuries due to the impact with the road or nearby objects.
Traffic flow, following distance, and driver attention can all influence how these crashes occur. Maintaining safe spacing and speed can help reduce the chances of a severe collision on busy roadways.
