Tampa, FL (July 2, 2026) – One person lost their life following a two-vehicle collision on Florida Avenue in Tampa.
The wreck happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, along Florida Avenue just south of Fowler Avenue. According to police, a Tesla and a Volkswagen were involved. Emergency units remained on the roadway while crews worked to manage the aftermath.
Northbound Florida Avenue was shut down between Fowler Avenue and Bougainvillea Avenue as motorists were directed to use alternate routes. The identity of the person who died has not been released, and no additional information about those involved has been made public at the time of this report.
