How Investigators Examine Multi-Vehicle Commercial Truck Crashes
Crashes involving commercial trucks and multiple vehicles often require detailed investigations because the sequence of impacts can be complex. Investigators examine vehicle damage, roadway evidence, debris patterns, skid marks, and witness statements to determine how the collision unfolded.
When a commercial vehicle overturns, investigators may also inspect the truck’s load, mechanical condition, and electronic data systems, as well as driver records if necessary. These findings help establish the cause of the crash and determine whether any traffic or safety violations contributed to the incident.
