Bristol, CT (July 24, 2026) – Four people were hurt on Thursday afternoon, July 23, in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Rte 72 and Rte 229 in Bristol.
The collision occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. and involved three vehicles with airbag deployment. Emergency units evaluated multiple people at the scene before four patients were taken to area hospitals with injuries of unknown severity.
Four additional people declined transportation for further medical care. Routes 72 and 229 were temporarily closed while crews cleared the roadway and addressed vehicle fluids left by the crash. Additional details about those involved had not been released at the time of publication, since the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
