China Township, MI (June 6, 2026) – Four people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of McKinley Road and Marine City Highway in China Township on Thursday, June 4.
Preliminary information stated that the collision occurred at about 8 a.m. when a 46-year-old Clay Township woman was driving a silver Dodge Journey northbound on McKinley Road. Investigators believe the woman did not stop at the Marine City Highway intersection before continuing through it.
The Dodge Journey struck a white Jeep Cherokee driven by a 32-year-old woman from Fraser. The chain-reaction collision then involved two additional vehicles, including a gray Ford F-150 operated by a 22-year-old Shelby Township woman and a white Hyundai Elantra driven by a 40-year-old Harrison Township woman.
All four drivers were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The 46-year-old Clay Township woman was reported to be in critical condition. Further information regarding the extent of injuries to the other drivers was not immediately available.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
