Newport, PA (July 8, 2026) – Four people lost their lives in a house fire on North Front Street in Newport, Perry County, on Sunday morning, July 5. Firefighters were dispatched after reports of a major fire at the residence.
The Perry County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 38-year-old David Carr, 16-year-old Hannah Carr, 16-year-old McKenzie Carr, and 6-year-old Paige Carr. Autopsies were scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, and Wednesday, July 8.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as investigators continue to gather information.
