FRESNO, Fresno County, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 — A two-vehicle crash reportedly left at least one person injured Monday morning, October 19, on eastbound State Route 168 near the connector to State Route 180 in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the crash was first reported shortly after 9 a.m. in the number one lane, involving a white Mercedes sedan and a white Chevrolet sedan. Dispatch logs also referenced a pickup truck near the scene.

The incident was initially logged as a collision with unknown injuries before being upgraded to confirm at least one person needed medical attention. Emergency crews requested a tow truck after determining the vehicles involved were not drivable. The California Highway Patrol's Fresno Freeway Service Patrol also responded and later closed out its portion of the call.

The white Mercedes remained a hazard in the roadway for a period after the crash before a tow crew arrived and moved it off the freeway to a nearby surface street. Lanes along the SR-168 and SR-180 interchanges were affected while crews worked the scene.

The investigation remains active. Our thoughts are with those who were injured, and we wish them a full recovery.
