Grand Junction, CO (January 29, 2026) – An early morning traffic accident at the intersection of South 5th St and Colorado Ave on January 28 left two drivers with reported injuries. According to dispatch audio, law enforcement at the scene requested a code two medical response after both drivers complained of leg pain.
Crews from Station One and Ambulance One were dispatched to the crash site shortly after 5:00 a.m. Emergency medical personnel evaluated both individuals at the scene and provided care. While the exact extent of their injuries has not been released, responders confirmed that both parties were injured in the collision.
The roadway remained partially blocked as law enforcement and responders worked to manage the scene and assist those involved. Vehicles were cleared after assessments were completed, and normal traffic resumed.
