How Single-Vehicle Crashes Can Lead to Serious Injuries
Single-vehicle crashes often occur when a driver loses control of the vehicle due to speed, road conditions, distraction, or a medical issue. Even when no other vehicles are involved, these crashes can result in serious damage to property and severe injuries.
Crashes into parked vehicles or fixed objects, such as buildings, often increase the force experienced by occupants. The impact can cause significant trauma, particularly to older drivers who may be more vulnerable to injury.
Emergency response and timely medical attention can be critical in these situations. However, the combination of vehicle speed, impact angle, and the driver’s physical condition often determines the severity of outcomes in single-vehicle crashes.
