Understanding Head-On Collisions and Risks
Head-on crashes are among the most severe types of accidents because the force of impact is distributed across the fronts of two vehicles, often resulting in serious injuries. Driver error, distraction, or fatigue can cause a vehicle to cross the center line, increasing the risk of a collision.
Even with seat belts, occupants can experience trauma to the head, chest, and limbs. Quick response from emergency crews is critical to provide care and transport, helping improve outcomes in these high-impact crashes.
