What Happens When a Driver Is Trapped After a Serious Crash?
When a crash leaves someone trapped inside a vehicle, emergency crews must carefully remove the person without causing further harm. This process can take time, especially when the vehicle has heavy damage or the person is pinned inside.
Rescue teams often use specialized tools to cut through metal and create space around the victim. During this time, medical care may begin inside the vehicle to stabilize the person before removal.
In severe cases, patients may need to be transported by air to reach advanced medical care quickly. Helicopters are often used when injuries are critical or when distance could delay treatment. These steps are taken to give injured individuals the best chance of recovery after a serious crash.
