Head-On Collisions Result in Serious Injuries
Head-on crashes are among the most severe types of traffic collisions because the force of impact is concentrated between two vehicles traveling toward one another. Even at moderate speeds, these crashes can result in significant injuries requiring advanced medical treatment.
Investigators typically examine vehicle positions, roadway conditions, driver actions, and physical evidence from the scene to determine how a vehicle entered the opposing lane of travel. Crash reconstruction specialists may also analyze damage patterns and witness statements to establish the sequence of events.
When serious injuries occur, specialized investigative teams are called to assist local authorities in determining the factors that contributed to the collision.
