Boston, MA (July 27, 2026) – Two firefighters were injured after a fire broke out at a triple-decker home on Savin Hill Avenue in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood on Saturday morning, July 25. Emergency units responded to the three-family residence around 10:30 a.m.
The fire damaged the rear porches, interior stairs, and a garage at the property. The siding of a neighboring home was also affected. Firefighters learned the residence had been vacant for years, and crews faced difficult conditions due to heat and humidity. One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, while another was treated for a back injury.
Neither injury was considered serious, and no other injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
