Houston, TX (January 18, 2026) – A deadly hit-and-run crash occurred early Saturday morning in southeast Houston, leaving one person dead and authorities searching for the driver responsible.
The collision happened just before 4:00 a.m. on January 18 at the intersection of Cullen Boulevard and Almeda Genoa Road. According to the Houston Police Department, a Ford F-350 was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a Toyota Camry at the intersection.
Emergency responders arrived to find the two vehicles heavily damaged, with video footage from the scene showing the pickup truck resting on top of the smaller vehicle. Tragically, the driver of the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police reported that the driver of the Ford F-350 fled the area on foot before officers arrived. As of now, the suspect remains at large, and investigators are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the individual involved. No description of the deceased victim has been released pending notification of the next of kin.
