Hyde City, PA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to a serious head-on motor vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Hyde City that left multiple people injured and at least one person unresponsive.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:05 p.m. on January 30 in Clearfield County’s Lawrence Township, along Washington Ave under Box 6-H. According to early information, the collision involved two vehicles that struck each other head-on, resulting in injuries and entrapment.
Emergency personnel from Station 6 Hyde Fire Department, Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Company #1, Clearfield Fire Department, and Rescue Hose & Ladder Co. responded to the scene to assist. Fire crews worked to access the damaged vehicles and help free those trapped inside while paramedics provided urgent medical care.
At least one individual was reported to be unresponsive following the crash. Additional injured victims were also reported, though the number of patients and the full extent of their injuries have not yet been confirmed. The scene remained active as responders worked to stabilize victims and secure the roadway.
