Santa Clarita, CA (July 8, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision with injuries blocked several northbound lanes of State Route 14 just north of Escondido Canyon Road on July 5.
According to dispatch information, the crash was reported around 10:27 p.m. and initially involved two to three vehicles. Early reports indicated a black sedan and a gray SUV were involved, with debris scattered across the roadway and all northbound traffic temporarily stopped. One vehicle reportedly overturned, while another came to rest up an embankment.
Emergency units arrived to assist those involved. One person was reported to have a head injury, while no leg or arm injuries were initially noted. Traffic was diverted through the Escondido Canyon Road exit as crews worked to clear the roadway. A SigAlert remained in effect while tow trucks removed a gray Kia SUV with major front-end damage and a black Honda Accord that came to rest behind a guardrail. Shortly after midnight, the roadway had been cleared, and traffic resumed. The cause of the collision remains under review as additional information becomes available.
