What Happens After a School Bus Crash With Minor Injuries?
School bus crashes often receive careful review because children may be involved. Even when injuries are described as minor, students and drivers may still need medical checks for pain, shock, or symptoms that appear later.
A bus leaving the roadway can also create traffic and safety concerns. Crews could need space to check passengers, inspect the bus, and make sure the area around the ditch is safe. Nearby roads may be slow while the scene is cleared.
Morning crashes can affect school routes and local traffic. Parents, school staff, and responders might work to confirm who was on the bus and whether anyone needs further care after the first scene evaluation.
