Johnson County, MO (May 16, 2026) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon after a Polaris Ranger overturned at the intersection of NW 1771st Rd and NW 100th Rd in Johnson County.
The crash occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on Friday, May 15. According to the crash report, a 2018 Polaris Ranger was traveling southbound when it began to skid.

The passenger was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. The 23-year-old driver, also from Kingsville, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
Officials reported the Polaris Ranger sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene by its owner.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
Why Utility Vehicle Rollovers Can Lead to Serious Injuries
Utility vehicle rollovers can become dangerous quickly because of the vehicle’s high center of gravity and open passenger area. When a skid occurs, especially on uneven ground or loose surfaces, the risk of overturning may increase significantly.
Passengers can suffer serious injuries if they are thrown from the vehicle or pinned underneath during a rollover. Seat belt use may help reduce movement inside the vehicle, though rollover crashes can still cause major harm depending on the force of impact.
Investigators often review tire marks, terrain conditions, and steering movements after these incidents. Vehicle stability, speed, and roadway surface conditions may also be examined to determine how the rollover began and why the vehicle lost control.
