Serious Injury Crashes and Emergency Air Transport
Severe two-vehicle crashes can require extensive emergency response efforts, especially when occupants become trapped inside damaged vehicles. Extrication operations often involve specialized rescue equipment and coordination between firefighters, paramedics, and air medical teams.
Medical helicopters are frequently requested in crashes involving critical injuries to quickly transport victims to trauma centers for advanced care. Drivers are encouraged to remain attentive on rural and county roads, where intersections and higher travel speeds can increase the risk of serious collisions.
