What Happens After a Hit-and-Run Crash on a Highway?
Hit-and-run crashes on highways can create added challenges due to higher speeds and limited space for vehicles to stop safely. When a driver leaves the scene, it can delay the collection of key details about how the crash occurred.
In these cases, information from witnesses, vehicle damage, and roadway evidence may help piece together what happened. Cameras along highways or nearby areas can also provide useful footage to identify the vehicle involved.
Even when injuries are minor, those affected may still require medical evaluation. Highway crashes often involve strong impacts, which can cause injuries that are not immediately obvious at the scene.
