How Rear-End Collisions at Intersections Can Become Serious
Rear-end crashes at intersections often happen when a driver fails to stop in time. Traffic signals and stopped vehicles can create sudden changes in speed.
Even at moderate speeds, these crashes can lead to serious injuries. The force of impact may push vehicles into other lanes or off the roadway.
Seat belt use can help reduce the severity of injuries, especially in sudden impacts. Staying alert and maintaining a safe following distance can help lower the risk of these crashes.
