Kissimmee, FL (January 21, 2026) – A hit-and-run accident on the eastbound side of I-4 near mile marker 62 in Kissimmee left at least one person injured Wednesday morning, triggering an active investigation by authorities.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:26 a.m., and responding emergency crews arrived minutes later to provide aid. Individuals involved in the crash were treated for injuries at the scene. At this time, officials have not disclosed the extent of injuries or how many people were affected.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver responsible for the collision fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. The crash caused temporary delays along the interstate, though the roadway was cleared shortly after.
Troopers are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information about the fleeing driver or involved vehicle to come forward.
