Why Motorcycle Collisions Often Result in Severe Injuries
Motorcycles offer far less protection than passenger vehicles, leaving riders more vulnerable in crashes. Even at moderate speeds, the impact of a collision can cause life-threatening injuries due to the lack of a protective frame.
Intersections are especially hazardous for motorcyclists, as turning vehicles can cross their path unexpectedly. Helmets and protective gear reduce the severity of injuries, but direct impacts with larger vehicles or fixed objects remain highly dangerous. Emergency responders must act quickly to provide medical care at the scene.
