Lavon, TX (January 9, 2026) – A serious motorcycle crash in Collin County prompted an air ambulance response on Friday afternoon at a rural intersection in Lavon.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 205 and County Rd 485, where multiple emergency units were dispatched following reports of a major accident involving a motorcycle. Officials confirmed that the crash involved a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle, resulting in significant injuries.
Due to the severity of the incident, first responders from Lavon Fire-Rescue requested a CareFlite medical helicopter to airlift the injured motorcyclist from the scene. Ground medics provided stabilization as the air crew arrived to transport the victim to a trauma center for emergency treatment. The condition of the motorcyclist has not yet been officially released.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as emergency crews managed the scene and began their investigation. The Lavon Police Department and other local authorities are working to determine the events that led up to the crash.
