Lemoore, CA (January 11, 2026) – A tragic two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a woman and left two others in Lemoore. The collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of State Route 41 at the intersection with Fremont Ave, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash involved a 2019 Jeep Renegade that was traveling eastbound on Fremont Ave. Authorities say the woman behind the wheel of the Jeep entered the intersection from a stop sign and was struck by a 2013 Chrysler 300 heading north on Highway 41. CHP confirmed that the Chrysler had the right of way and was not required to stop at the intersection.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene and found the Jeep driver with fatal injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the Chrysler and his adult female passenger sustained minor to moderate injuries. The driver was taken to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, while the passenger was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for further treatment.
The crash caused a partial shutdown of the highway while first responders tended to the injured and cleared the scene. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances of the crash, including lighting conditions and driver visibility at the rural intersection.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the woman who lost her life. We also wish a full recovery to those who were injured.
