Lexington, KY (March 4, 2026) – A 78-year-old man died on Tuesday, March 3, after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Man O’ War Boulevard and Blazer Parkway in Lexington. The collision happened earlier in the day at the busy Fayette County intersection.
Emergency units responded to the crash and found multiple vehicles involved. Firefighters used specialized equipment to free two people trapped inside damaged vehicles.
Authorities said four people were taken to nearby hospitals following the crash. Early reports indicated their injuries were not life-threatening.
The Fayette County Coroner later identified the victim as Roy Gentry of Clay City. He died later that afternoon in the emergency department at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Officials determined his death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries suffered during the crash.
The collision caused major traffic backups at the intersection while crews worked to clear the area. Roadways were later reopened after vehicles were removed.
