What Factors Are Often Examined After a Head-On Crash at a Highway Intersection?
Head-on crashes at busy highway exits can happen quickly, especially when vehicles change direction or cross traffic signals. In these situations, traffic patterns and signal timing are often reviewed to see how vehicles moved through the intersection.
Road layout can also affect how drivers react. Overpasses, ramps, and merging traffic sometimes create sudden decision points that increase the chance of a crash. Skid marks, vehicle damage, and the position of the vehicles after impact can help piece together what happened.
Weather and visibility are also considered in many cases. Clear views of signals and approaching traffic may influence how drivers respond while entering or leaving a highway area.
