Lincoln Co, MO (January 28, 2026) – A woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident late on Tuesday morning on US-61 southbound near Creech Ln in Lincoln County. The collision occurred just before noon and involved two pickup trucks traveling in the same direction.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 77-year-old woman from Elsberry had slowed to make a right turn when it was rear-ended by a 2005 Ford F250. The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the right side of the roadway. The crash occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m.
First responders from Lincoln County EMS treated the injured driver of the Silverado at the scene. She sustained injuries and was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for further evaluation and treatment. The driver of the Ford F250, a 31-year-old man from Hannibal, was reportedly uninjured.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were removed from the scene by Priority One Towing. Traffic was temporarily affected while crews worked to clear the area and assess the circumstances of the crash.
Troopers from Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, including TPR N. Downs and Sgt. A. Bryan, are handling the investigation. Early reports suggest the rear-end impact was the result of inattentiveness, though further analysis is underway.
We extend our sincere wishes for a full recovery to the injured driver following this unfortunate incident.
