Injury Concerns After Serious Intersection Crashes
Serious intersection crashes can cause injuries because vehicles may collide at angles or head-on while crossing or turning. Heavy front-end damage can indicate a strong impact that affects drivers and passengers inside both vehicles.
People taken from a crash scene on stretchers may need evaluation for head injuries, neck pain, back trauma, broken bones, or internal injuries. Some injuries may not be fully clear until medical teams complete a hospital assessment.
Late-night crashes can also create added risks for approaching drivers. Darkness, blocked lanes, debris, and emergency vehicles may require traffic control until crews finish treating patients and clearing the scene.
