Linden, CA (January 15, 2026) – A major injury collision involving an SUV and a heavy-duty pickup truck with a trailer occurred late Wednesday morning on State Route 26 just east of N Wall Rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, reported around 11:40 a.m., involved a black SUV and a beige Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a gooseneck trailer. CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision was a head-on impact, leaving both vehicles severely damaged and debris scattered across the roadway. One female occupant was ejected from a vehicle and found on the ground receiving aid from bystanders before emergency crews arrived.
Fire and EMS teams responded swiftly, with at least one person transported to the hospital with serious injuries, including reported trauma to the left arm. Due to the scale of the crash and vehicle damage, heavy-duty tow services were required to remove the Ram 3500 and trailer from the scene.
SR-26 was shut down in both directions near N Wall Rd for an extended period as Caltrans crews assisted with a hard road closure and cleanup.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision, including whether speed or lane deviation played a role.
We extend our thoughts to those injured and wish them a safe and full recovery.
